BRAINSTORM:
Imagine a pile of rocks surrounded by ocean, a raging sea and a very pirate ship anchored. A band of pirates stand on the rock for some unknown reason, and the Pirate Captain (a female) has just run a pirate through for being a misogynist:
"I've always wanted a daughter," The woman murmured, pulling her sword from the body of the dead pirate. "Something soft and small, one that can sing and yet could kill any one of you – all of you! With a single glance. That is a daughter I desire. Get me one. Or on your heads be it." The pirates gathered around her split for the longboats, avoiding their captain's gaze as they argued over all the possible children they could steal.
"Hey, what about whassisname, the light-keeping bloke? The one that patrols the cliffs wiv 'is lantern? His girl almost gave me a black eye once, when I tried to… well, you know." All eyes turned to the deckhand, who shrugged. "Sorry, but primal desires and all that…"
"Where do you find this… Lightkeeper?" The Captain enquired, her voice slicing through the tension like a polished blade.
"On the rocks of Argus, over east. Not far from here at all." The man pointed over the raging sea, and the moonlight led the path from the rocky island to the mainland ahead.
The crew waited for the command in silence, the salty water from the broken waves misting over the rocks.
